Falls Church Mom Diana Brice Rises to Top of National "Super Mom" Competition
Falls Church's own Diana Brice has climbed to the Top 10 – and currently holds 1st place – in the 2026 Colossal Super Mom Competition, a national fundraiser supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Public voting continues as Diana pushes toward the Top 5 round of voting which began May 7.
Diana is a federal working mom with a background in Air Force intelligence known for her dedication to workplace safety and her deep commitment to raising her two children, Emma and Liam, who attend Oak Street Elementary and Meridian High School. She says the transition from Intelligence and national security work to motherhood has been the most meaningful shift of her life. "While those roles protect the present, being a mom builds the future," she said. "There is no rank more rewarding than watching your children grow into their own unique people.”
Diana juggles a demanding career, her husband Benjamin’s pilot schedule, and the lively chaos of raising their two energetic kids. Emma plays piano and soccer through the Falls Church Community Center, while Liam plays tennis; both recently wrapped up basketball with the center. She describes motherhood as her greatest teacher. "It has taught me that patience isn't just waiting – it's finding peace in the chaos of growth," she said.
The Falls Church Independent had not been aware of the Colossal Super Mom Competition until we heard from Ms. Brice in early May. "Good Afternoon, I’m a Falls Church resident, Air Force veteran, federal government employee, and pilot’s wife — which means I’ve spent years navigating deployments, unpredictable flight schedules, and the daily circus of raising kids who treat snacks like a currency," she began her email. "Somehow, in the middle of all that, I entered a national 'Supermom' competition. I thought it would be a fun way to show my kids that moms can still dream big… even when we’re running on caffeine and pure determination."
"I never expected to make it this far, but I’m now in the Top 20 and holding 1st place as I push toward the Top 10 this Thursday," Brice continued. "My story is really about resilience, family, and the community that has supported us through deployments, long workdays, and the everyday madness of parenting. Winning wouldn’t just be a personal milestone — it would be something meaningful for my kids, a reminder that their mom is strong, determined, and maybe just a little bit funny under all the exhaustion. I’d be honored if you’d consider sharing my journey...."
Motherhood's Lessons and the Heart Behind the Competition
Diana says motherhood has reshaped her understanding of strength, patience, and love. "Motherhood is the ultimate masterclass in the human heart," she explains. "I've learned that unconditional love is a choice made every second, a bond that stretches but never breaks."
If she wins the competition, she says it would be a "mission upgrade" for her family. "It would give us a strong emergency fund to protect my kids from life's unknowns and open doors for them to pursue sports, music, and other passions," she says. "This gift isn't just about the money – it's about peace of mind and opportunity." Outside of the family, it would be a way to give back and raise money for the Children's Miracle Network through the help of multiple communities.

The competition supports the Children's Miracle Network, which has raised more than $14.9 million through the Super Mom campaign to fund life-saving pediatric care across the country.
Public voting opened April 13 and continues through multiple rounds into June, with the winner announced in July. To see Diana Brice's page on the competition website go to: https://thesupermom.org/2026/diana-brice.
Diana says she's grateful for the support she's received from the Falls Church community as she continues her run. She also hopes all the moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
