Yesterday, with our story on Falls Church's "Grocery Store Wars," The Falls Church Independent celebrated our first 100 articles since our founding on Leap Day in February.

As an independent, hyper-local, online news site dedicated to providing "fresh news, insights and analysis — with an independent streak — in and around Falls Church, Virginia," The Falls Church Independent would like, sincerely, to thank all of our subscribers and readers for your support.

Not until the passage of the federal 1968 Fair Housing Act were such exclusionary practices outlawed.
